Meet the Artist

Hello! Welcome to my website, and welcome to the blog! Thanks for stopping by~

I think the best way to kick off this page is to start with a "Meet the Artist"! If you read my "About Me!" page, you'll see it was taken from a more... professional perspective. But this won't be that! This will be me in my truest form, my realest personality!

Hi, I'm Sydney, also known as Artsy Syd. I'm 19 y/o. I'm a black, bisexual woman. I like my art to reflect the communities I belong to in my pieces!

I have many interests and hobbies that I don't talk about often. I love singing and dancing (I actually used to be in church choir for my school), but I'm ironically pretty shy about it. I love to bowl as well, and I was on my high school's co-ed bowling team (I was even MVP for the girls' team one year~).

Some of the things I happen to like include: coffee (hot or iced... kind of addicted), rainy days, ASMR, scary stories, video games (obviously), fairy lights/LEDs, and stuffed animals!

I'm also really into astronomy and astrology; I love to study planets, stars, space physics, and more. For the astrology, I'm a Pisces Sun/Moon, and Sagittarius Rising. Feel free to ramble to me about zodiacs and charts, I absolutely love it.

To keep with the theme, some things I dislike are: math, summer/hot weather, painting, and AFK/video game trolls.

Funnily enough, I don't favor group projects, but I don't mind them, especially if I get to lead them. My friends used to love to joke about giving me the lead role in school projects because I always seemed to be nagging them about getting it done~

Some hobbies/interests I want to try are anime (all my friends are into it, but I can never sit through an episode), weightlifting (I almost joined the team at my high school), and sewing/fashion designing.

My music taste is all over the place, I swear I listen to a bit of everything. Alternative, R&B, Rock, EDM, Pop, maybe even a little Country...

My main genre is KPOP, however. My favorite groups are TWICE, Red Velvet, Blackpink, ITZY, and CLC. A group I also listen to that sorta falls in that genre is K/DA.

I also mainly listen to Vocaloid as well.

Lastly, since I won't stop mentioning it, let's get into my video games! I play on both mobile (mainly) and PC. I'm currently playing Paladins (PC), Bang Dream: GBP (M; EN and JP), and Illusion Connect (M).

Some games I've played before include Monster Super League (M), Overdox (M), Ride Out Heroes (M), Project Muse (M), Heroes Evolved (M), and Cyber Hunter (PC).
